New Leaf Therapies offers counselling, life coaching and hypnotherapy in a safe and secure environment, providing effective individual treatment to clients and the best possible care. Based in the centre of Chelmsford, New Leaf Therapies focuses on helping individuals heal, and find their inner strength, by working within a person centred framework and using a variety of techniques.
My name is Dhesni Naidoo and I started New Leaf Therapies to help people deal with issues that sometimes seem too big to handle alone. I am a qualified counsellor, life coach and hypnotherapist and am committed to helping clients reach their full potential.
I work with clients by formulating an individual treatment plan, using a variety of techniques, depending on their needs..
I am a registered member with the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society and work with the ethical framework of these societies. I am committed to continuing Professional Development, to ensure my clients are provided with the best possible care.

Therapy can take many forms and at New Leaf we focus on every client individually. Our treatment plans are tailored to suit each client's needs, giving every client the time and space they need to overcome the issues they find challenging. Counselling helps clients uncover and understand certain experiences or events, while life coaching helps them to move forward in a positive way, unlocking their potential along the way. One of the questions clients often ask after counselling is: "What happens now?"
At New Leaf, we can provide coaching to clients who wish to move forward and build on the positive experience counselling can provide. However, this may not appeal to everyone which is why our services can be used together or on their own.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling and treatment, I will help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic events. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counselling can be beneficial to individuals who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection with their partners, in all stages of their relationship. Problems within relationships are more common than we realise and often these can be resolved by a few counselling sessions. No relationship is perfect and neither are we as humans but talking to a counsellor can bring much needed relief that we are not alone.
We also offer therapy for anger management, bereavement, abuse, addiction, work related stress, low self esteem, and OCD.
